Established and maintain base of individual and small-business clients. Provide user support, small-network setup and maintenance, web, mail, and ftp server and hosting solutions. Offer training in software and system usage.

IT consultant; Tonal, Inc., NY, NY. (June 2002 to present)

Freelance IT consultation on an all Macintosh (OSX and 9.2) network for a high-profile post-production music company. End-user support on all basic office applications, email, ftp services. New system configurations, upgrades. Purchase/upgrade recommendations. Migration to OSX and support thereof. Also designed, composed and mixed sound for TV spots and commercials.

Chief Engineer; Man Made Music, NY, NY. (Sept. 2001 to May 2002)

Responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading studio computers, network, and internet connection in a fast-paced music for television and film company. Macintosh only network, OSX clients and OSX server for filesharing, FTP, and Web applications. (Music applications used and supported were Digidesign's ProTools and Emagic's Logic Audio.) Served as prime resource for equipment purchase recommendations. Also mixed and edited music and sound effects for Sci-Fi channel, X-Games, Discovery Channel and more.

Domino Administrator/Project Manager; ThinairApps, NY, NY. (October 2000 to May
2001)

Maintained internal Lotus Domino servers of different 5.0.x releases for software QA testing, client support, and development projects. Worked with pre-sales engineers and prospective clients to determine the viability of Thinair Server technology in clients' existing Lotus Domino infrastructure. Managed internal development and maintenance of SQL/ASP-based Customer Relations Management application. Provided internal support to Windows 2000 user base of 60 employees. Offered Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver support to Marketing department.

Regional Network Manager; Interaction Associates, Boston, MA. (August 1996 to October 2000)

Managed comprehensive telecommunications and computing systems for regional office of international training and consulting firm that specializes in facilitative leadership training, building collaborative organizations, and strategic planning. Reported to Director of MIS, and functioned as a collaborative team member. Responsibilities included:

  • Management of all aspects of Macintosh and Windows 95/98-based computer systems: purchasing, hardware repair, upgrades, network installation and management (10/100baseT), dedicated internet access, router-based firewall, Apple and NT remote access servers
  • Lotus Notes Release 5/4.x server installation and administration, cross-regional roll-out, and in-house employee training for 50+ end-users.

  • Planning and Coordination of two office moves including ethernet network design/wiring, purchase and set up of Norstar Meridian PBX and AVT PhoneExpress voicemail system.

Responsible for: upgrading and maintaining computer lab of 30 DOS/Windows PC's on a Local Area Network; purchasing and installing equipment/software; Novell Netware systems installation and administration.
